Philosophy Section - Main PageMany people go through life not questioning existence, reality and truth. They blindly accept things 'as they are'. They are born, live, and die without any real understanding of what they are a part of. I have always questioned. I was born into a Catholic family and until I was 18 or so I truly believed in god and the truth of Christianity. Once I began to question my beliefs their seemingly impregnable validity crumbled away to dust. The most significant aspect to all this was the realisation that the foundation on which I based my understanding of existence etc was totally incorrect. Thus I began my journey of investigation and philosophy. This section is NOT about my personal philosophy, in terms of 'preaching' or persuasion etc. The 'big picture' is so big it is impossible to explain. What follows is just bits and pieces. I cannot do the work for you - I can only put some thoughts in your path. The discovery, or formulation, of the UT Instinct was a result of thinking about how religion has developed throughout the millennia, and this instinct was so fundamental, and as such a general principle, that it has transformed my understanding of human nature, and thus of how we, as human beings, view and judge life and existence. The articles are just a small part of how I see things. Ultimately I don't intend or expect anything I write herein to change the accepted beliefs of 99.99% of humanity. Thankfully I understand the human mind and therefore have absolutely no hopes, or optimism, whatsoever for humanity. But the fact is there is that tiny 0.01% or so who just may be helped to grasp some meaning, or understanding. If only 1 person in 100 years is helped then it has been worth it. Millions are born and millions die each year. It is a plain fact that we are all going to die. To most people, understanding existence is of no relevance. To me understanding existence gives purpose, rationale and makes it all so incredibly wonderful. To understand is all. There are 2 parts to this PHILOSOPHY section.
