The Nature Of Man (Human Evaluation)~ The UT Instinct ~Chapter 16: September 11th 2001 - New YorkIf this is your first visit to this site please read the Glossary Please note: there is an introduction and 17 chapters in this section. If you have not read the introduction and all the chapters preceeding this one you will not understand the points I am trying to make. To gain understanding you should start - at the beginning Chapter 0.
September 11th 2001 - New York When the Islamic terrorists flew the planes into the Pentagon and the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre and caused so much pain, suffering and death, President Bush accused Osama bin Laden, and his fellow terrorists, of being 'evil'. To the President and to many others (in their millions) this 'evil menace' must be sought out and destroyed. They are under the impression that right, and god etc is on their side. Getting rid of Osama bin Laden and the al-Qaeda terrorist network is seen in the same light as getting rid of a vermin infestation. They truly believe they are 100% right and that Osama bin Laden is 100% wrong. Osama bin Laden and his followers do not see things in the same light. They think that it is America which is 'evil' - the 'great Satan'. They do not consider that what they did was wrong. It was a necessary evil - it was the goal (destroying America) that counted. How could an attempt to destroy an evil entity such as the USA be considered as being wrong? How you, or I, or anyone else evaluates and judges this situation totally depends on which UT Group we belong to. There are objective truths (facts) as regards the actions eg the planes did crash into the buildings, people were killed etc, but there can NOT be objective truths as regards the judgement of those actions. There are subjective 'truths' - different subjective 'truths' - in President Bush's head; in Osama bin Laden's head; and everybody else's head for that matter. President Bush truly believes that he is in the right etc. Osama bin Laden truly believes that he is in the right etc. This is the 'problem' with Man and bes stupid evaluation mechanism. This is a true demonstration of just how irrational, illogical, and subjective Man is. There may be some people who say that it is obvious that the killing of two thousand innocent unarmed civilians can never ever ever be justified. Yet, if I asked those very same people to judge the bombing of the Japanese cities, and the killing of thousands upon thousands of innocent unarmed civilians, with nuclear bombs which brought an end to WW2 they would immediately be able to justify it. Suddenly the never ever ever CAN be justified! This is the 'logic' of Man! The explanation can be summed up with an UT Phrase - 'that's different!'. I won't go into the UT explanation - I hope that at this stage you understand it. Also, at this stage, I hope you can see the terrible and irrational results of the UT Instinct. It is so easy to think that one is looking at an evil entity when one sees tv pictures of Osama bin Laden. Even though I understand the UT Instinct - I should do so as I am the one writing the booklet! - yet I cannot regard him with neutrality. But the Truth of the matter is that he is as 'civilised' as President Bush. The evaluation mechanism telling Osama bin Laden that he is correct is the very exact same evaluation mechanism which is telling President Bush that he is correct. We are all blind and bigoted. We can only evaluate using our own subjective UT Group values. According to Osama bin Laden's UT Group he is a hero and is fighting the evil ones. According to President Bush's UT Group he (Bush) is a hero? and is fighting the evil ones. Osama bin Laden justified 'collateral damage' just as President Bush justified 'collateral damage' in Afghanistan, Serbia. Iraq etc, just as Timothy Mc Veigh justified 'collateral damage' (see relevant chapter). According to President Bush the reasons why certain terrorist groups have so much hatred towards the USA is because the USA stands for freedom and democracy. If you have actually read thus far you should realise that that certainly isn't the case. The USA has a lot to answer for around the world, and also in America itself, but President Bush will never see the unjust and bullying attitude of the USA as such. Neither will the majority of American citizens see it. They are judging their own UT Group and have come to the conclusion that they are a wonderful civilised, just, god-fearing (shouldn't that be god-loving?) democratic nation. They truly believe that. Just like the Hightribe would truly believe that they are the most civilised and decent tribe in existence. According to their criteria they are! Likewise Osama bin Laden's opinion will be the exact opposite. As to whether one or other opinions are correct or not is not relevant whatsoever. The UT Instinct on both sides will tell each of them that they are correct. Objective truth doesn't have an existence at all. Judging that Osama bin Laden is in the wrong is not, in effect, judging Osama bin Laden but merely judging his tribal upbringing and his subjective, and subjectively acquired, UT values. But the values of the Americans are just as subjective and just as subjectively acquired. To judge one side as being in the wrong is merely demonstrating from which UT Group you have acquired your own UT values. That is not the same as saying that what happened was acceptable; just that the 'moral' values of one side are no better, or worse, than the other - both sides are under the control of the UT Instinct. That is why atrocities will continue. The evaluation mechanism of the Hightribe will always tell them that they are justified in their actions, though, in most cases their fundamental motivation in nothing more than bioent greed and self-interest. That is why perpetrators of atrocities will always be able to justify their actions - it is the victim who brought it on themselves, and thus is not a negative reflection of the perpetrator's values (or lack of). Does any American anywhere (or anyone of any other nationality anywhere) truly believe that Osama bin Laden looks at himself in the mirror in the morning (before he shaves?!) and says to himself - 'today I am going to be evil!' ? The idea is so unrealistic and unbelievable that no further comments are required. (You should ask that question of any individual whom is considered as being evil by any other person). The world is the violent place it is because it is the humans who have designed it thus. There is no one else to blame. One may want to blame Nature but we are a product of nature - to blame nature is to blame ourselves. But Man is lucky - the UT Instinct will always tell us that the blame lies entirely with the victim - 'they deserve it!' - the 'us' are not tainted in any manner at all by our own savage actions. But if we cannot use that excuse, in case it may cast an unpleasant judgment on Man, then the person doing an unacceptable act will be seen as being OUTSIDE human natural motivations - EVIL! To use the term 'evil' really means we do not want the unacceptable action to be considered as being normal human behaviour. If you judge Osama bin Laden as an individual all you are doing is ignoring all the other human beings whose morals are controlled by the UT Instinct - every other member of this species. You are only fooling yourself. I do not agree with what he did. I do not agree with what George Bush does. The UT Instinct controls this species - it controls YOUR judgment. There must be tens of millions of people being treated unjustly, exploited, enslaved, abused, and in most cases, by people who do not see themselves as being as evil as you would judge them to be. So, the next time you make a moral evaluation you should add - I think I am right and just and fair and honest just as much and to the same level that Osama bin Laden and George Bush think that they are right and just and fair and honest. IT IS A FRIGHTENING THOUGHT!
IT IS A TERRIBLE TRUTH ! Updated : 3rd October 2009
