Article 2
If this is your first visit to this site please read the Glossary
IntroductionOriginally this article was about the British suicide bombers but I have changed it to encompass suicide bombers in general as the rationale behind the terrorist act is the same whether suicide bomber happens to be British murdering British people or some other suicide bomber from another nation murdering other random innocent victims. I also include the topic of suicide bombers from within the community. Unfortunately it is difficult to explain the mentality of the British Islamic suicide bombers (and British Islamic terrorists - in general) without using terminology connected with the UT Instinct. You may have difficulty in understanding some of the following explanations without having read those explanations of the UT Instinct on this site. If you have read through the theories of the UT Instinct then you shouldn't really have to read this at all - you should already understand! On the other hand some of the following may generate some interest to encourage you, if you haven't read the UT Instinct pages, to wade through them. Also I have to confess to using mental shorthand because all activity is part of the general behaviour of Man and if I was to go into any particular detail I would end up writing ad infinitum. If you have any questions use the form to ask them and if important I will include the answer within the article. Quick Definition of the term UT GroupFor those who haven't read through the UT Instinct theories, the term ‘UT Group’, for want of a better description, can be taken as a type of moral class (moral tribe, moral gang), or even moral (secret) society to which a person belongs. It is any collection of individuals who have the same values and inhabit their own subjective ‘moral universe’ with their own mutual respect and value system. A person can belong to very many different UT Groups depending on the situation they find themselves in at any particular point in time. Every human being who has ever lived and all those who will ever live in the future will belong to many UT Groups - and that includes YOU. Human beings have subjective morals - based on the UT Group they are in at any point in time (the UT Group values which are SUBCONSCIOUSLY controlling that individual) and thus their morals can change to such a point that they seem to be (morally) thinking in a totally opposite manner than previously but to the person involved it will seem totally natural and ALWAYS consistant. Each UT Group set of values and morals are distinct from the morals and values of ALL other UT Groups, though they may appear exactly the same. [If you really want to understand the term ‘UT Group’ you will have to read the theory - ‘The Nature Of Man - The UT Intinct’ - on this site (there are about 40 x A4 pages of text)] - maybe later! Middle-Class British Born MuslimsMany news items pointed out two ‘disturbing’ facts: the first that some of them came from middle-class areas and the second that these were British born (home grown) bombers. Firstly the notion that class somehow dictated a certain set of morals is so stupid as to not deserve any further discussion. It is as stupid as thinking that middle-class people don't use drugs, or don't rape, or don't molest children, or don't commit any crimes etc. Middle-class people are normal - certainly as normal as you and me. In other words, they are NOT morally special - just as you and I are not morally special. The second fact - that these people were born in Britain - is irrelevant (this is similar to Chapter 14, in the UT Instinct section on Timothy McVeigh - read later). The most important question is this - to what UT Group do THEY feel they belong to? As to what YOU think they belong to is not important at all. To understand them you have to understand THEIR mentality, their motivation and their values and not yours, so as to what UT Group THEY think they belong to is the important question. It is fairly obvious that their UT Group wasn't the British UT Group but rather the Islamic UT Group. They talk of THEIR brothers and sisters as those fellow Muslims living in Iraq, Afghanistan etc. As to whether you agree with them, or understand their ideas is not important - this is the way it is. And, just as in any war - the ‘us’ have the high moral ground and the ‘them’ are the threat and the cause of the conflict (thus deserving total contempt) and are COLLECTIVELY seen as the enemy and thus suitable targets (victims). In any state of war individuals, for the most part, are not relevant. When the RAF were bombing Germany during WW2 did they actually consider that they might be bombing some Germans who were totally opposed to Hitler? Of course not, or very few did. The enemy was Germany and the German people - collectively. WAR IS NOT RATIONAL - so don't be misled into thinking that there are rational thoughts involved. Just because one can explain an action in a rational way doesn't mean that the thoughts which motivated the action were rational to any degree whatsoever. There are rational explanations for all of Man's stupid, subjective and irrational behaviour - but that doesn't make Man rational. Killing Fellow MuslimsPeople have pointed out the some Muslims were killed in 9/11 and in London but again remember the previous paragraph - do not look for logic in the thoughts of the bombers and terrorists. Only the UT Instinct (subjective subconscious instinctive evaluation mechanism) and the concept of UT Groups, can explain these seemingly inexplicable actions. These terrorists say they want to defend their Muslim brothers and sisters and yet they will ‘gladly’ kill fellow Muslims. But the Muslim UT Group these terrorists belong to is defined by THEM. It is always the case that only members of any UT Group decide who are the fellow members and once a person is seen as being outside that particular UT Group they are seen as being expendable. Thus these terrorists UT Groups decide who deserves being defended - whose life has value - according to their UT Group values. There is no respect for those outside THEIR UT Group (their definition of their values) and excuses come easy. As far as I can remember they have even said it themselves - the Muslims who were killed in the underground, on the bus (in London) and in the Twin Towers had ‘embraced’ the western way of life and thus deserved to die. The fact is that ANYONE outside that particular UT group was seen as not being as dedicated as them and thus not deserving equality and therefore expendable. In Iraq different extremist UT Groups are fighting each other - each one thinking that THEY are the only UT Group with the true beliefs therefore justifying, in their mind, any antagonistic activity against the other UT Group. Not only that but there are many bombings of fellow Muslims in Iraq every day - day after day. But again I must stress - don't look for logic. These bombers say they are looking after fellow Muslims but it is their irrational, blinkered evaluation of what THEY consider to be fellow Muslims. Killing Fellow British CitizensTo ask the question as to how they could kill fellow British people is so ridiculous when taken in the correct context. Has anyone ever asked how a British rapist could rape a British female? Has anyone ever asked how a British thief could steal from a fellow British citizen? Or asked how a British paedophile could abuse a British child? To ask how a British Muslim could kill fellow British people and fellow Muslims is totally childish - it is ignoring the past 10,000 years (and more) of human violence. This is reality. Suicide - Taking Things To The LimitOne of the main properties of the UT Group is the insularity involved - especially is the case of terrorists, or any group of people outside the ‘norm'. UT Groups would not exist unless there was this superior attitude of members of any particular UT Group towards non-members. Could one ever expect to see a terrorist suicide bomber who had no connection with any other terrorist - where it was a totally individual, personal and secret action? I doubt it very much. Would any of these suicide bombers commit this act if it wasn't going to be seen as a suicide bombing? - I think the answer would be NO. If you have an UT Group which is trying to take things to the limit it is self motivating (this is similar to, for example, paedophiles on the internet in special private chat rooms - each one ‘showing off’ and boasting as to how many children they molested, to a certain extent each one trying to better the other's latest savagery). In ‘society’ an individual's un-normal tendencies are ‘controlled’ and limited but within a very ‘select’ UT Group extremism grows - each member wants to be more whatever-characteristic-which-unites-them-and-makes-them-different-from-outsiders than their fellow members, thus creating a snowballing effect). To a certain extent it's a case of - the more extreme . . . the more respect deserved - from WITHIN that UT Group. Because of the nature of the UT Group once a member of an UT Group it is difficult, if not impossible, to leave that UT Group for the very simple reason that the UT Group is what the individual member WANTS to be a member of and has the same value system. So, in the case of terrorist UT Groups, not be a member of a terrorist UT Group automatically puts one in the victim (or enemy) UT Group, but to actually leave an UT Group (deny the truth and moral certainty and equality within that UT Group) is nothing less than defying, condemning and insulting those fellow members. Mutual respect is of paramount importance within the UT Group and subsequently leaving the UT Group is about as serious a ‘crime’ as one could commit. The word ‘traitor’ is weak but adequate to describe the hatred members would have for a deserter from their UT Group. Within the UT Group mutual respect is important - it is vital - but in effect it actually creates the feeling, within each individual member, of self worth. To verbalise the thought process - I have value because those whom I respect have respect for me - I am equal to the people whom I respect. So, to leave an UT Group is to actually deny one's own value and worth - to deny oneself - unless somehow that indicidual has changed their value system to the point where they don't want to belong to that UT Group. So once there is an UT Group and terrorism becomes an aspect of their value system untimately suicide bombing becomes part of the aim and raison d'etre of the Group it would be practically impossible for anyone to leave, except perhaps at a very early stage. Although it is fairly possible that some of the motivation originally came from without - we all have seen images of Islamic Clerics bursting forth their vile hatred of anything they disagree with and praising those who do god's work and kill the ‘enemy’. The simple truth is that some people will be fooled by the reverse logic - that if you don't kill the ‘enemy’ you are betraying the wishes of god and betraying the Islamic belief. In certain circumstances suicide bombing becomes inevitable - a proof of one's deserving of membership of that UT Group. Which God Do The Suicide Bombers Believe In?These people, although seemingly answerable to god, and fighting on god's behalf, actually let their power of life and death over others take control and elevate them to a point where what they want they also decide their god also wants. This, as is always the case, is the tribal god (the UT God); and the UT God is controlled, and defined, and given traits, by those within that UT Group. The UT God is NEVER against, or antagonistic towards the UT Group. How can it ever be any different - because the members of the UT Group define and decide the ‘wishes’ of their UT God. They may say that they believe in the one True God - but it turns out that, in fact, the one true god is themselves - they act as though they were the god. To them, the one true god is themselves - with power over life and death. Watch the videos made by these suicide bombers - it says it all. The ‘universal god’ would consider all human beings as being equal - having been created by this god - whereas the UT God is only ever seen as on the side of those narrow-minded self-centered egotists within the UT Group. They decided who their fellow deserving Muslims are. They decided who deserves to die. They, in effect, had become the GOD - with the power of life and death over everybody. In simple terms, any random innocent victim CANNOT be viewed as innocent by the suicide bomber because of the fact that they don't belong to the suicide bomber's particular UT Group, therefore they don't deserve protection from members of that UT Group, therefore they can be killed with impunity and the UT God of the suicide bomber isn't concerned with the lives of those not members of the suicide bomber's UT Group. This rationale gives the suicide bomber godlike powers to decide who lives and who dies. As I keep saying, just because someone can rationalise their actions, it doesn't mean that those actions are rational. If someone can speak to a suicide bomber who is alive - who attempted to commit an act of suicide bombing but failed, one could ask them a very interesting question: do you believe that any of your victims could go to heaven - if they happen to be Muslim victims (taking into account that they believe, I presume, that only Muslims can go to heaven). It would be interesting to hear their answer. Violence Within the Wider Muslim UT GroupAnother predictable facet of the irrational nature of the situation is the apparent strangeness of the reasoning. These terrorist bombers justify their actions by saying that they are defending their fellow Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever. The very logical question which immediately follows should be - where were these Muslim defenders when Saddam Hussein and his buddies were torturing and killing their fellow Muslims? - these very people whom they are so concerned about now? The slightly amazing answer (it is only amazing if you do not understand the UT Instinct) is that acts of violence and savagery by Muslims upon fellow Muslims weren't of any consequence to these terrorists. It is only when the USA and Great Britain and other &lsquoWestern’ nations got involved that the intention to defend the Muslims reared its ugly head. This is a natural effect of the UT Instinct. It is equivalent to the situation where a girl is being attacked by her boyfriend and if another man interferes and starts attacking her boyfriend the girl will attack the man who came to her aid!! The man should have minded his own business! One can imagine the girl shouting “Leave my boyfriend alone.”! In other words Muslims attacking Muslims is seen as an internal matter - to be settled internally - within the UT ‘Muslim’ Group. But how dare another country (and more importantly a non-Muslim country) interfere. It is an outsider - outside the, in this case, wider Muslim UT Group (and therefore inferior and totally unequal) trying to dictate to the members of the UT Group how they should behave towards each other. THAT is totally unacceptable to the Muslim UT Group. Any interference from an outside UT Group is ALWAYS totally unacceptable to ANY UT Group. ExtremismOne thing I forgot to say anything about is how these Muslims became so antagonistic towards Britain, or England or the British government. Wherever there is conflict the main properties (flags, emblems etc) of the UT Group will take on a much more significant value than before. For example in Britain some people have national flags which they may use on certain select occasions. In the south of Ireland people have national flags which they will use on certain select occasions. But in the north of Ireland where there is conflict the unionists will have British flags, or British colours, on every telephone pole, electricity pole, gate, hedge, pavement and even dog (if they can catch it!). Likewise the nationalists with their Irish symbols. So naturally if an UT Group evolves which is going to be Islamic in nature (with a siege type mentality) it is going to become more radical and extreme as time goes on. For any British Muslim who doesn't fit in with the ‘British’ way of life they have two main choices: either to leave (and forget) Britain or to see their fellow Britains as the enemy and be at war with them. The logic is: to survive (being truly Islamic) one must magnify the qualities of being a Muslim. And just like some of the Irish who emigrated become more Irish when away because they were desperately trying to hold on to a cultural property and ended up turning it into something which didn't really ever exist ‘back home', these Muslims are becoming more ‘Muslim’ than the ordinary everyday Muslim. Their attitudes were based on symbols and wishful thinking rather than any actual reality. It's like the Unionists in the north of Ireland marching in their Orange Order parades with their bowler hats and swords etc - they are as British as the boomerang! This is similar to how the left wing political organisations in the West viewed Russia in the past. It was seen as the epitomy of equality of the workers, but the reality was completely different. It was an image of a Utiopia world. As to how many of these suicide bombers would like to have lived all their lives under the rule of the Taliban (another Muslim extremist UT Group) can never be known - my guess is NONE. These British suicide bombers were in effect living in THEIR own little pretend ideal world with their subjective ideals. The British Suicide Bombers MoralityI cannot end without explaining one very important thing. Unfortunately if you do not understand the UT Instinct you may not fully grasp the following - in fact you may become angry. But Truth is Truth. Human beings are irrational and controlled by the UT Instinct. This is FACT. This can never be any other way - we are what we are. No matter which ‘side’ you are on, no matter how much you may condemn, or condone, the British suicide bombers' acts of terrorism, one thing is certain. THEY TRULY BELIEVED THEY WERE GOING THE RIGHT THING.That is the terrible and sad truth about these terrorists, in fact about every human being. So, in fact and truth, they are as moral as you. And the next time YOU make a moral decision remember that these bombers considered that what they were doing was not only correct but actually deserved praise. They were using their instinctive evaluation mechanism to come to their moral stance just like you use yours. They were as genuine in their beliefs as you are in yours. Morally you are no different to them and they are no different to you. That is the way it is. It is the sad truth about humanity. The stupidity of Man is inevitable and unchanging. Additional Text The reason I am not incorporating additional text into the main document is that it would be difficult to decide where it should fit and I would have to alter the main document. It's better to leave it separate.
Martyrdom Videos - The True Evidence- added 21st Aug 2006Their Attitude Of SuperiorityFirstly, when they talk on the videos it is with a sence of superiority (this had been touched upon above). Members of any UT Group always think they are superior - especially in the case of ‘exclusive’ UT Groups. They are the true followers of god - everyone else are thus ‘condemned'. They have judged humanity as being sinful etc etc and deserving of destruction. To NOT be in the UT Group is to be worth less - worthless. They consider that they belong to the same moral universe as their UT God and therefore they can sit in judgement of others and take the place of god in punishing those whom they consider as being not being as pure and perfect as they consider themselves to be. The ‘them’ (non-members of the suicide bombers UT Group) can never be considered as being as pure and perfect as the ‘us’ (Muslim Suicide Bombers) UT Group. Proud Of Their ActionsMany people will call these terrorists and suicide killers evil. But that is far from the truth. One thing is certain - they are not ashamed of their actions. They think they are doing good. This actually demonstrates one very important ‘philosophical’ truth. According to you they might be doing evil, but according to them they are doing good. Likewise according to you you might be doing good, but according to them you will be doing evil. The truth of this is: it is possible for an individual to do unspeakably evil actions while be is thinking be is doing good. This not only applies to OTHERS but also to YOU yourself. This is how humans morally evaluate. For many, the implications are disturbing - you can only ever be as certain that you are doing good, whenever you make a moral decision, as they are certain that they are doing good. That can only be the level of your certainty. So, when you make a moral decision you should ALWAYS include the following thought: I think I am doing good, but my judgement is only as valid as the judgement of a suicide bomber who thinks they are doing good by killing other innocent victims. Most of you will NOT be able to acknowledge that equivalence - and THAT is the UT Instinct at work in you! Original: 2005 Updated: 23rd October 2013
