Democracy 1.0 Section If this is your first visit to the Democracy 1.0 Section then please read this Democracy 1.0 Section - Notice first. List of Documents :: This Document Number: 006 Citizen Representation in Democracy 1.0IntroductionThis is the core element which firstly, defines the quality of democracy and, secondly, guarantees that each and every citizen can have a voice, and thirdly, ensures that the political system and the political authority firmly and unquestioningly lie in the hands of the citizens. But before I put my proposals forward I need to explain why some proposals from others are not suitable for very important reasons. Citizen's ConventionThis is NOT the way forward. It is naturally attractive to many. In fact most likely it is the first thing that comes to peoples' minds when they think of citizen participation. But knee-jerk political proposals can do more harm than good. Citizen's Convention, or anything similar (citizens participation - that is, if a group of citizens can get enough signatures for a proposal etc), is NOT going to improve the political system to the long term advantage of the citizens AND the democratic system itself. Short term ‘sweeteners’ are not the same as long term solutions. I have suspended writing this Democracy Section temporarily and will resume as soon as possible. I intend to write a few more political blogs (see the List Of LuGo's Blogs) to try and encourage visitors to this site - with smaller read-at-one-sitting documents. At the present time, I have to concentrate on health matters - my own health (attaining perfect metabolism), and also I need to write a few important articles and papers on Hypothyroidism, Metabolism and the scandalous TSH fiasco which condemns patients to suffer years and decades of bad metabolic health. But I do intend to getting around to finishing this page and this section as soon as is possible! I would be very interested if any reader gets as far as this page (hopefully having read all of the Feudal Democracy Section first). Please email me, or use the form below, to let me know if you got this far! ... page to be continued (most definitely)
In the meanwhile I have an article on my blog site which shows a visual representation of how a true Democracy 1.0 would be organised. It may be informative (it will open in a new tab or window). Lou Gogan 22nd June 2014 |
