Bridge Over The Canal In Dublin

Bridge Over The Canal Near The Pepper Cannister Church, Dublin.

This bridge leads to Upper Mount Street, near the Pepper Cannister Church, Dublin. It crosses over the Grand Canal on the South side of Dublin City.

I used to work in an office located in Upper Mount Street in 1986 and during one lunchtime I decided to head out for a walk along the canal. I brought my small sketch book with me and decided to sketch the bridge.

I am certainly glad I went for that walk and sketched that brdge - 22nd July 1986.

I am very proud of this sketch. I should do more sketching - but just lack the motivation. Hopefully some day I'll bring my sketch book with me around Achill. It is full of beautiful views - large and small.
