The Nature Of Man (Human Evaluation)

~ The UT Instinct ~

Chapter 17:   Summary

If this is your first visit to this site please read the Glossary

Please note: there is an introduction and 17 chapters in this section. If you have not read the introduction and all the chapters preceeding this one you will not understand the points I am trying to make. To gain understanding you should start - at the beginning Chapter 0.

Unfortunately these theories show and explain just why Man never learns from bes mistakes - the nature of Man cannot change; and so our actions, based on our evaluation mechanism, will never intrinsically change. Naturally, the type and nature of UT Groups will change as society changes, leading many to foolishly think that Mas has 'progressed' and is more civilised, and has even 'morally evolved', but the UT Instinct is here to stay. This is what we are condemned to be and this is what we will remain - a puppet of the UT Instinct.

This booklet, of its very nature, along with the nature of the UT Instinct, could be expanded ad infinitum; the more examples of human situations one examines the more one can see all the facets of the instinct and its results.

I will try to sum up the nature of Man and the UT Instinct in one paragraph (this cannot be definitive).

We are irrational, illogical, subjective, selfish and greedy bioents. Whatever tribal and subjective values we learn growing up become our 'reality' and objective Truths - we cannot know any better - for, being members of a social species our values and self-worth, and those of everybody else, are instinctively bound up with the tribe we are a member of, and thus the values of that particular tribe become the criteria against which all other bioents, including ourselves, are judged. Because of the nature of modern life a person can be in many different 'logical' tribes - UT Groups - in any single day, depending on the circumstances, and thus will be under the control of many variations of sets of morals, each one being independent of the other. When the circumstances and opportunity permit the UT Group which is superior and dominant will naturally and instinctinvely take advantage of the differences to justify the exploitation of non-members of that UT Group. Thus, because of the variability of UT Groups which are in 'moral control' throughout that day, a person can make many 'moral' decisions which totally contradictory one another, but the evaluation mechanism, based on the UT Instinct, can in every situation justify those 'moral decisions' and actions, and make the person's thought process seem consistent, rational, logical, decent, civilised and conscious. Whew!!

I find that the term 'UT' can be used as an adjective in so many cases to reflect the truth of some of Man's actions, values and morals. For example UT Democracy - this was in ancient Greece, and other countries in more recent times, where democracy was not 'for everybody' but merely for those who were members of the 'us' UT Group. Then there is UT Loyalty, UT Justice, UT Laws, UT Justification, UT Viewpoint, UT God, UT Word, UT Phrase, UT Logic. I am sure there are other UT 'things' out there to be discovered!

We, throughout the centuries and millennia, have gradually formed an understanding, and explanation, of ourselves and those things outside ourselves. It is totally subjective. It is vital to understand that there are no absolute definitions, nor absolute correct ways of behaving. There can be no absolute, objective definition of 'right' and 'wrong'. There can be no absolute, objective definition of 'good' and 'bad'. There can be no absolute, objective definition of 'honourable behaviour' and 'dishonourable behaviour'.

For example, there is no absolute, objective definition of a 'good wife' in the universe. We make it up. Many tribes have different definitions. There cannot be an absolute, objective definition of a 'good wife'. We created these concepts. We defined and redefined these concepts. We defined and redefine these 'human' values. We, in our blind, subjective, selfish, narrow-minded, stupid and irrational way define these things, and because we are so irrational and subjective we think that these values etc are Universal and Rational and Truth.

We are like little children who 'make up' their version of the universe because they know no better - they are incapable of actually understanding, or grasping, the objective real universe. (That is not to say that Man should not have laws and regulations - Man has to have these things in order to live within social groups - but we must come to realise that these are, and can only ever be, subjective and variable - and meaningless, as such - this is a dilemma, and paradox, of actually understanding the nature of Man).

There is a simple way to judge Man, and it is through a simple question: Which species is the most destructive species on this planet? The simple answer is - Man. Because of our selfishness and greed, and our notion of superiority, we are destroying the very planet on which we live and on which we depend - we are a very blind and dumb species! In fact one could say that we are the dumbest species. We play with the uncontrollable forces of Nature not realising - not being capable of realising - that on the scale of the universe we know nothing, and yet we play with genetics and nuclear forces childishly believeing that we are in control. Someday we may learn to our cost.

The Earth would be a much better place (ecologically speaking) if Man was to be wiped off its face. This is a terrible indictment. This is a terrible Truth about ourselves.

I've decided to include the following just to hopefully show just how totally invisible the UT Instinct is and also to try and get through to you that the very time you are totally and absolutely sure that you reasoned and thought logically and have come to a genuinely fair, just and correct decision, that that is the very time you are being totally controlled by the UT Instinct! Also, and more importantly, the UT Instinct is so invisible that at its most subconscious and subtle level, it has made you come to a 'moral' understanding without you ever having to even ask the moral question! It is as natural as your heartbeat. It is as natural as gravity.

PARENTAL UT GROUP
It seems so natural that parents, and adults in general, dictate and regulate the behaviour of children 'under their control'. Again, whether the situation, or decisions, are correct or not, is not important; it is the mechanism by which we make those decisions and view the relationship. That mechanism tells the dominant (controlling) UT Group that it is their duty to control those of a 'lesser' subordinate UT Group.

It is so easy for an adult to think that a child should not smoke, even though the adult may smoke. Likewise the adult may well consider that it is acceptable that an adult to drink alcohol and get slightly 'tipsy' but would totally condemn a child who drinks and who is under the influence of drink. It is the simple logic of the UT Group - 'it is ok for me to do . . . but it is not ok for you to do the same'. One law for you and another set of laws for me!

What would you think if you were asked to consider whether a child of fourteen should have the right to vote? Would you not immediately think that that suggestion was totally absurd - 'they wouldn't know how to vote!'. You would not see your denying of voting rights for the child as a display of your inequality towards children because you would be able to justify it to yourself - it would not be a reflection on your lack of justice; you would see it as a case of - 'they don't deserve it!' - in other words, it would be a negative reflection on the child! The idea that a child should have the vote would seem to be totally ridiculous. That that very same reasoning was used to deny females the right to vote.

Who decides the criteria for being considered an adult? AN ADULT! (surprise!, surprise!, surprise!). [It is ALWAYS a member of the UT Group who decides the criteria for being a member of the 'BEST' UT Group]. And what criteria do they adopt - those values which they already have. It is always members of the dominant UT Group who decide that they have a 'god-given' right to have such and such rights and thus to 'justifiably' deny those very same rights to non-members. It is the dominant UT Group who decide the criteria for deserving rights.

Admittedly children are not mature (logical, rational and intelligent?) but if you investigate adults in an honest manner you would see that there is a very distinct lack of maturity in more than a small section of the adult population. How many men think that being able to down many alcoholic drinks 'proves' them a man - what would we think on hearing a child boast of being able to down ten bottles of lemonade, thus demonstrating them far superior to those who couldn't do the same?

How many adults believe that outward appearance is more important than the character of an individual? How many adults think that possessions demonstrate the greatness of the individual? What would we think on hearing a child boast that be was better, and more important because be had a bigger school bag as compared to the next student who had only a smaller one?

I've stated elsewhere there are no true 'experts' - likewise there are no true 'mature' people (objectively speaking). To subjective bioents REALITY, JUSTICE, EQUALITY etc etc - and even MATURITY are all in the eye of the beholder. It is the dominant UT Group who decide (subconsciously) the values by which they are going to judge others - they decide the criteria for being a member of that group and thus non-members are naturally inferior! If the 'them' do an act not acceptable to the 'us' then it is seen as a sign of inferiority of the 'them'; but if the 'us' do the same action it demonstrates the superiority of the 'us'.

I am not saying that adults should not have rules and regulations for children - all I am saying is that the concepts and evaluation mechanism involved are the very same as that in any other 'relationship', or conflict, between UT Groups. It is all so natural because the UT Instinct IS so natural. 'Adults' instinctively know they should 'control' children - the UT Instinct tells them so!

The evaluation mechanism is invisible - it is only the results of the UT Instinct which can be seen, and even then only when you happen to be in a different UT Group and thus able to see the 'injustice' and stupidity of the reasoning. If you are in the same UT Group you will consider all to be totally logical, fair and natural. The minute you stop thinking that the UT Instinct is an INSTINCT is the time when you will understand NOTHING.

Of course the main defence of your attitudes towards the 'rights' of children will be to disassociate this situation with all the other examples of Hightribe - Lowtribe 'clashes'. Your defence will be - 'that's different!' - an UT Phrase if ever there was one. Whether any particular 'restraint' is correct or not is totally irrelevant here - the thought process involved is exactly the same as any other UT Group interaction.

The UT Instinct is in control! It is the master. You are its slave!

I hope I have written this booklet well enough so that you weren't totally bored by my repetition and that you may have glimpsed, despite all the misuse of words and phrases, the UT Instinct through the fog and mist . . . of YOUR UT Instinct!

I apologise for all the many wonderful examples and facets of this instinct I have left out!

Finally, I should add this. I can only be realistic and presume that most readers who have either skimmed, or waded, through these pages will be unable to accept the existence of the UT Instinct and the realistic view of Man. All I suggest is that you keep the address of this web site because sometime in the future you may experience situations and occurrences and perhaps will hear people say things which may remind you of these pages and you may understand that these situations etc can be totally, fundamentally, and easily explained by the UT Instinct.
